Starbase Indy: The Next Generation is Back! That's right
you heard correctly. The Fan-Based Run Convention will be back this
November during Thanksgiving weekend at the Marriott East in Indianapolis.
And Starbase Indy needs your help!
As with any
Fan-Based (fan run) convention, Fans actually help with running the
convention. The core Starbase Indy Staff have formed the Committees
necessary to run the successful convention. Each of the Committees
need volunteers during the weekend of the convention to work in a variety of
capacities. Below is a list of Current Starbase Indy Committees which
need volunteers and their respective Chairpersons:

According to Rusty Harrell and Kim Huff,
initiators and owners of Starbase
Indy: The Next Generation, volunteers are the the backbone and
the success of the actual convention. It is because of the volunteers
that conventioneers enjoy a smooth running convention weekend.
Volunteers, depending on the committee for
which they volunteer, may have 2, 4, 6 hour shifts. However, as a
volunteer, if you are also an attending conventioneer, every attempt will be
made to create a schedule which allows the volunteer to attend convention
events that he or she wants to attend, yet still fulfill the role as a
volunteer.
If you have ever wondered what it is like to
be on the "hosting" side of the convention, whether it is working behind the
Registration Table, working as a stage crew for the Plays, or serving as
monitor for the gaming room, then this is your chance. It is a
wonderful opportunity to meet great sci-fi fans just like yourself who also
love to help out a convention.
To volunteer for one of the committees listed

created using your email client so that you can request to be a volunteer.

involved, the Chairpersons are the individuals who can help answer your
questions.
